Rhode Island chapter American College of Cardiology fellow's night out 2017
On April 13th, 2017 the Rhode Island chapter of the American College of Cardiology hosted our 6th annual “Michael F Gilson MD fellow's night out” at the Marriott Hotel in Providence Rhode Island.
It was once again a spectacular night. This annual celebration of the cardiology fellows in training accomplishments was an enjoyable and exciting evening.
After opening remarks by the fellowship coordinator Dr. Raymond Russell and the current ACC governor Dr. David Donaldson, the evening began in earnest. Current third year fellow Dr. Arslan Johnghar introduced three current Brown fellows who presented interesting cases. Each case raised challenging medical scenarios for the audience, which generated lively debate.
The second portion of the evening was a very exciting medical jeopardy competition hosted by moderators Dr. Charles Beale and Dr. Kaustubh Dabhadkar. It was fun, informative and enjoyed by all.
It was an exciting and successful evening. With the support of our corporate sponsors and the contribution of attendees, we were able to generate enough funding to support travel and expenses for 2 fellows to attend the 2017 ACC legislative conference in Washington DC.
